This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It applies to burkehedges.com and the pages we use for sign-ups and checkout.

What we collect: When you request free chapters or buy something, we collect your name and email address, and any audience or team information you choose to provide. When you buy, our payment providers collect your payment details — we never see or store your full card number. When you submit an enquiry form, we collect what you type into it. We also collect ordinary technical information automatically: your IP address, browser, device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived.

Why we collect it: To send you what you asked for. To deliver and support what you buy. To reply to enquiries. To send occasional emails about books, writing and events, which you can stop at any time. To understand which pages work and which don’t.

Who else sees it? We use third-party services to run this business, and your information passes through some of them: our email and funnel platform, our payment processors, our website host, and our analytics and advertising measurement tools. Each holds your information under its own terms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our list.

How long we keep it: For as long as you remain on our list or hold a licence with us, and afterwards only as long as we need to for records, tax or legal reasons.

Your choices: Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — write to info@burkehedges.com, and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your information means we can no longer deliver anything you have bought.

Children: This site is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Where your information is held: Our providers operate in the United States and elsewhere. If you are outside the United States, your information will be transferred and processed there.

Changes: If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be notified by email to anyone on our list.
